5 Things That Made My Week.

1. I chose the coldest night this week (cold meaning 39 degrees) for a night run with the Monster. I layered up, and thanked myself for saving those ridiculously extreme under amour spandex from back in my High School Lacrosse days when we would run in snow/rainy (real extreme) weather conditions in the spring with the snow just wouldn’t melt or stop in Maine. Before heading out the door I loaded up with yummy strawberry chapstick (that I still from time to time think about tasting even though I’m not 5 anymore.) Set pandora to Murs and 9th Wonder and Monster and I ran our little hearts out for 4 miles, loving the fresh cold air.

2. This set of poetry: (click here to listen) by Myrlin Hepworth Live at the Fishtrap

3. Shopping for food makes my week, every week.

4. Watching movies and drinking vegan hot chocolate with just the Christmas Tree lights on.

5. I went in for a simple bang trim and loved the stylists at Volr Salon so much I ended up staying for a Cut+Color, and treated myself to a Soy Chai Latte from Lola’s Cofee Bar next door.

Ode To Chai Latte
I am not a coffee drinker, I only drink it when I absolutely need to be awake and haven’t gotten enough sleep. It certainly is not in my daily routine. However I have fallen in love with a good Chai Latte {non-fat because I can’t tell a difference in taste either way, so why not opt for less fat?} I crave a chai latte at any hour, but it is even more delicious to me at 3 o’clock in the afternoon during the week. Some days I am so covered in work that I can’t see my way out for lunch time. I almost always make time for a walk down to Cafe Primo for my afternoon Chai Latte. Actually I haven’t had time since I wrote this post, and its killing me.
Ready for the weekend.
