Miniature Modern Interiors
I don’t believe I ever truly grew out of my doll house. I was a mere 4 years old when my Mom gifted me with a beautiful hand built 2-story victorian doll house. It had real trim around the windows, a patio, an attic/loft, and shingle detail on the roof I was in love. That was also my first go at a DIY home project; I painted, wallpapered, and furnished it to the tea. I guess it was a given I would eventually grow up go to design school and become an interior designer, huh?
I stumbled into the work of Annina Gunther she builds these little modern doll houses and photographs them for her blog. I love little things, as I think everyone does, puppies, babies, novelty items, but the detail she goes into is maddening. Notice the laundry room, cleaning supplies, the elements that show that the doll houses are lived in is what interests me so much. The New York Times even wrote a piece on her check it out here.
