Magazine Stand, A Bit On The Light Side?
Have you ever stopped and taken look at a magazine stand or watched the commercials on TV, and just counted the people of color? On the covers of magazines beautiful men and women most all shades of tan to creamy white. Especially bridal/wedding magazines, its almost as if black women don’t get married? Well today I counted, (4) black women total, Oprah is on the cover of her own magazine,...

Seriously / Love Monday
My sincere apologies for butchering your state if I did, especially to those not even named :)
..So I submitted my “proposed route” to my Grandma AKA my road trip warrior, who by the way, technically deserves her very own post some time soon, after all she is one amazing woman and partially responsible for molding the type of person I am today.
Sometimes I just have to say...

Learning To Love To Read No.1 :: Manifesta
Let me get this straight, I’m not a big reader.
I know, I know…I watch trash TV and I don’t like to read, based upon those two facts I have fallen suite with the majority of the sheeple in America and prove true to so many stereo types of my generation. I can’t remember a time when I have ever loved to read, even books I throughly enjoy and genuinely love, like Matilda...

MOCA CENSORSHIP OR WAS IT?
Los Angeles - Saturday 4/16, I attended the opening of Art In The Streets at the MOCA. We throughly enjoyed ourselves, slowly making our way through the historical timeline of street art, carefully looking over the cases of old spray paints and permanent markers used in decades past. Down through the strategically placed installations of street grime, articles of trash, and down a makeshift...

Robin Hood, The American Version In Reverse...
“Stealing from the poor + moderate income people, and give to the rich…”
Its absolute insanity and its all happening and in plain site, the public eye the Republican party is slapping Obama, his cabinet and 95% of the American people in the face and then laughing about it. In 2009 the 10 wealthiest American Corporations did not pay a single cent in taxes and many of them...

My Dirty Little Secret...Is Out!
I watch trash TV. Occasionally.
Pushing shame aside and applying a little critical thinking to this matter I question myself. Why is it that I migrate to trash when I do watch TV? And at what point did I cross the line from being repulsed by the cast of Jersey Shore to knowing their names and becoming familiar with their drama? (Still a little repulsed)
It is simple, it takes little attention...

Seriously / Love Monday
This weekend Ernesto and I embraced spring and the idea that food might not get cheaper anytime soon especially now that they’ve closed our ultra cheap market. So we took a trip down to Sunset Nursery for a bag of organic dirt, and vegetable seeds. Now we wait and water our baby seeds nesting in the soil hoping that in about 4-6 days we will see a bud of lettuce, tomato, squash, pepper, or...
