Monster&i are moving.
After 6 incredible/crazy years of growing together Ernesto and I are parting ways. This may be the most difficult thing I have ever done to date and in future months and years from this point forward I hope to look back and appreciate how adult and dignified we were in our end.
My plan (because without one I would be a nut case) :
I mentioned a post or two ago {here}, Monster and I are...

Next month Monster and I are heading up to Portland, Oregon. I’ve only been to there once {here}. So I’ve been hunting the internet for hints and clues about this city in front of Mt. Hood along a river, so far I’ve learned:

#2 on PETAs most...

I layered up, and thanked myself for saving those ridiculously extreme under amour spandex from back in my High School Lacrosse days when we would run in snow/rainy (real extreme) weather conditions in the spring with the snow just wouldn’t melt or stop in Maine. Before heading out the door I...

Vegan Adventures :: Soyrizo Burrito
One late night we went on an adventure to the only store open in Phoenix at 2am (Walmart - womp womp) to see what we could find to eat…we crafted something amazing and I’m now addicted and its soooo easy to throw together in 10 minutes flat.
Shopping List:
Flour Tortillas
Soy Chorizo (Trader Joe’s kind is the best)
Pinto Beans (we cheated and grabbed chipotle smoked...

Seriously / Love Monday: Homebase Poetry Slam
( Kane + G ) Two sharp poets from North Carolina see them (here)
Sunday night I braved the brisk desert cold and went to the HomeBase Poetry Slam. I was not sure what to expect since I had only been to one poetry slam and that was years ago, in a tiny breakfast spot (Star Light Cafe) in Maine, hosted by our High School English teacher.
As a kid, hands down I loved poetry, writing, and...

5 Clocks I Would Rock In My House.
I’m having the worst time with time management lately, and I swear that I changed my clock on my computer to match Arizona time not California - it switched on its own to be an hour ahead. I’m giving myself until Monday to get it all together or else. Have a phenomenal weekend all!
